By the end of the course students will be able to:

What will I be able to do after the course?

Across our course range we train in excess of a thousand individuals each year and everyone asks the same question.  The answer really is quite simple and it all depends upon your personal ability. We have a percentage of students that complete their course with natural ability and can virtually walk away and take on decent projects straight away. The majority of students leave us confident and with plenty of practice could make a successful go of it!
When does the course run?

Course begin every Monday including bank holidays. They start between 9 & 9:30am and finishes when you complete your final objective of the day, usually around 4pm!

Our plastering training department caters for all aspects of Plastering. The Department is managed by Glenn Cooke a time served Plasterer and Instructor, who possesses over 25yrs experience. Glenn and his team of 2 Instructors have spent many years working within the Plastering and Construction industry. They have also spent many years teaching and developing our Plastering courses. By working with and listening to students plastering needs they have developed a range of plastering courses to suit any skill level.  Whether you’re a beginner or time served plasterer we can and will improve your Plastering skills.

Plastering Courses are designed to provide you with as much hands-on experience, insight and understanding of plastering as we can give you in the timescale that you choose.

If you are completing the Plastering course for DIY purposes then we believe the 5 day program will deliver all you need and the confidence to start your first Plastering project. If you want more technical and modern Plastering techniques then we advise you completing our 10 day plastering course which is a mix of our basic 5 day course and our Skimming & Dry lining course. For those that are seeking a career change then our 4 week plastering course is for you. It’ll give you over 120hrs Plastering experience and is sure to make you into a plasterer.

The Plastering department is set within its own 3000sqft area of our facility. We have an area of 15 basic Plastering bays that consist of a Wall, Window, ceiling and pier that will be yours for the duration of your basic Plastering course. We have an area of 6 self contained Dry Lining bays and a separate advanced Plastering space that is made up of 2 twelve metre square ceilings and 4 extra large walls that will test and accelerate your plastering skills.

 Please Note:

We are not promising to make you a Plasterer in 5 days. But we do promise to provide you with the best possible Plastering course you can find for the price and timescale. We have trained and guided literally thousands of Plasterers or trainee Plasterers over the years and we know that personal ability is always an important factor in how fast and how well an individual progresses on the basic Plastering course. This also applies to our 10 day and 4 week plastering courses. However, we do believe that the more time anyone spends on the Plastering courses the better they will be. This may seem obvious, but it is true. Our plastering team also pride themselves on their ability to be honest and fair with all plastering students, and if they feel that any plastering student has not attained the standard to move on or advance through all the plastering stages and objectives, they will address the plastering student and where possible alter the course content to suit the individual plasterer.

At the end of every plastering course week each plastering student will receive a Plastering course certificate, outlining each plastering objective completed. They will also be presented with a Plastering guide and photos of them plastering and a group picture of the members of their plastering course.

All Plastering course tools and materials are provided on all plastering courses. The centre is proud of our recycling and environmentally friendly practices. The Plastering department is a leader in how we practice this. The plastering department has a water recycling unit designed specifically to reuse all expended plastering water. For example when plastering student from the plastering course cleans his or hers plastering tools the dirty plastering water is passed through a series of chambers until it is clean and reusable. This water is then used for mixing all plastering materials throughout the duration of the plastering course.

Our Plastering course is open to anyone who wants to learn plastering. There are no limits on age or gender.

We provide technical support after you have completed your plastering course. If you are on a plastering job and have any technical difficulties then you can feel free to call and speak to one of our plastering tutors who will do their very best help you out!
