This course is designed for
individuals wanting to step up their skills from those taught on our Basic
Plastering course. We look at the more technical aspects of Dry Lining,
Metal stud work and lots lots more skimming! Please note that a proven
previous knowledge or completion of our basic course is required to
undertake this course!

Its suitable for anyone with an interest in plastering or even someone who
wants a full career change. We accept anyone of any age!

- Cutting & fixing Tapered edge plasterboard to a
timber/Metal stud
- Creating Window returns, walls and ceilings
- Taping & Jointing methods
- Sanding & Finishing techniques
- Advanced Skimming techniques & practice
Course Objectives:

Plastering tools
- Accurately mix materials
- Have a good basic
understanding of assessing projects
- Understand Technical terms and phrases
- Understand the
importance of using the right materials for the job
- Tackle small jobs
What will I be able to do after the course?
Across our course range we train in excess of a
thousand individuals each year and everyone asks the same question.
The answer really is quite simple and it all depends upon your personal
ability. We have a percentage of students that complete their course with
natural ability and can virtually walk away and take on decent projects
straight away. The majority of students leave us confident and with plenty
of practice could make a successful go of it!
When does the course run?
Course begins on a Monday including bank holidays. They start between 9 &
9:30am and finishes when you complete your final objective of the day,
usually around 4pm!
